John W. Ennis is the broker/owner of Ennis Realty & Investment Co., a commercial and investment real estate firm which provides advisory services to real estate clients. Ennis Realty & Investment Co also provides brokerage services for commercial, retail and industrial property. Ennis Realty & Investment Co. was founded in 1979.
Mr. Ennis carries the designation of a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM). This designation from The Certified Commercial Investment Member Institute, a National Association of Realtors affiliation, represents a select group of real estate professionals who have completed rigorous and intensive course work and a review of the applications of the course work through the designee's completed real estate transactions of the previous five years by a panel of peers. Finally, this designation requires an all day exam of the material to be successfully completed. This designation, only held by 6% of the commercial investment professionals nationally, can give assurance to clients of the high level of expertise of the designee.
Mr. Ennis is an active commercial real estate investor. He acts as a real estate consultant in the financial, marketing, leasing, and sale areas of real estate on a fee basis. He is well known for repositioning and remodeling non-performing investment properties with unsurpassed results. He is currently registered as a receiver for the Ventura County Court system for management and disposition of commercial real estate. He is active as an "expert witness" in both Ventura and Los Angeles areas
Mr. Ennis is past President for BOMA (Building Owners and Managers Association) Tri-Counties. Formerly, he has held offices of Chief Financial Officer for the Conejo Valley Chamber of Commerce, a member of its Board of Directors, and an Executive Director. Mr. Ennis founded the "Land Use Committee of the Chamber of Commerce" and was instrumental in promoting the business concerns of current building regulations and permit processing activities of the City of Thousand Oaks. He was appointed and served on the 1987 - 1988 General Plan Committee of the City of Thousand Oaks. He is affiliated with the Conejo Valley Board of Realtors, the California Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors. He is active in the Conejo Valley Rotary and is the Past President of the Conejo Valley Rotary Club..
Mr. Ennis has taught real estate as a professional, on a continuing education basis, as certified by the State of California, from 1979 through 1983 to over 55,000 licensees. He authored "The Mortgage Broker's Handbook" in 1981. His prior association has been with Transamerica Financial Corporation, Morris Plan of California, Crocker National Bank and Howard Lane Development Company.
Mr. Ennis is 52 years old and was a resident of the greater Conejo Valley for 39 years. Mr. Ennis currently resides in Northern California with his wife, Elizabeth. Mr. Ennis' education was with California State University at Northridge in Business Administration in both Accounting and Finance.
